alright guys, this is my first blog ever ^_^ i hope you guys enjoy it as i kick start this blog with some thoughts on this years gaming info and the announcements that were made, remember if you want the best info on gaming news you have come to the right place :D. today we will talk about this years e3.
Anyway this years e3 was all in all pretty good, but way better than e3 2008 *Shutters* as this year had some great titles that were announced in each of the three primary consoles
The presentations of all the conferences, all in all were pretty good with some surprises that gave appeal to the mainstream and the hardcore gamers, first things first the biggest surprise to me was that a new metal gear solid game would be coming to a microsoft console after promises made by kojima(creator of metal gear series) that it would stay exclusive as the announcement of Metal Gear Rising came into play, in the short trailer that was shown we see a video of Raiden

(who is the main hero of metal gear solid 2 and co-hero in metal gear solid 4) in a rendering of some sort that he was shown in metal gear solid 4, not much else was shown but an announcement from kojima himself that the story will be a spinoff and not part of the main series.
now this was a big announcement for me because the metal gear solid series is one of my favorite gaming franchises and it was cool to see some new gamings for it as it was said that metal gear solid 4 would be the last one.

Another big showing was the call of duty modern warfare 2 gameplay trailer, now i saw the trailer and it was awesome, it felt like they really added more atmosphere and tension in the new game and it had everything the fans wanted to see. the gameplay trailer starts off with the player following a person who seems to be soap mctaverish who is the main character of call of duty 4, apparently he is now a captain, and you follow him through a snowy mountain to sabotage a warehouse, the gameplay looked incredible and there was even a snowmobile get away :0, cant wait for this to come out

The Final Fantasy series has been known for their story lines and good rpg like gameplay to the fans of the series, and three more from the series have been shown into more light as final fantasy 13, final fantasy 13 versus, and the newly shown final fantasy 14 online, have been shown. the trailers shown for these games looked awesome and i have no negatives about the presentation for these games except that versus 13 wasn't shown enough :C
(Surprised for a sequel?)
well in other news halo got two new games coming out for it(was expected...) as Halo:odst and reach were shown at the conference, odst is a side story of a marine in the same sector unit as master cheif does his role to help master cheif get through, and halo reach will be a prequel that is rumoured to be based on the novels made for the game. the gameplay trailers looked awesome :D

Sony dont feel left out as you have the Sequel of GOD OF WAR ^_^, as God of War 3 gameplay trailers and even a demo was shown and played at the e3, the gameplay demo showed kratos going against a big titan like monster and on his way to get to the main boss had to get through obstacles like fighting a lizard like creature, with new moves and new updates to the already set formula gives the fans of the series a fresh look and feel to the best selling franchise

anyway to big debate in this years e3 was what did the big 3 do for the mainstream appeal, well sony and microsoft had announced their new motion sensoring technology that is very similar(the same) as nintendos approach with the wii, The natal and the wand from the respective companies microsoft and sony, these powerhouse industries are looking for a new way to reach the mainstream as nintendo is doing with its wii and now announced wii motion +. these new ideas from microsoft and sony is to bring the motion sensing technology in a new innovative way(if that wasnt possible enough...) as natal doesnt even have a controller of any sort :0 and sonys wand reach 1to1 motion sensing.
now alot of people fear that this might be the end to hardcore gaming as we know it but i feel like this could be in the step to a better direction as it can bring these ideas that appeal to the mainstream audience and use it for something that everyone can enjoy like using the wand as a gun in the 1 to 1 motion sensing for gamings like call of duty and using natal for games such as heavy rain which relies purely on motion and cinematic choices that can be done with a flick of the wrist. now lets just hope developers will be willing to use this technology in their games as add ons usually dont sell well and this could be a just another gimmick, there have also been complaints that the software could be problematic as for natal that doesn't even have any sort of controller just cameras that detect movement, this makes it seem like it would be hard to do movements. like picture playing the natal in an fps, how would that work? well only time will tell as these cash cows..... i mean ideas come into play.

I almost forgot to talk about MAG(Massive Action Game) This is a new fps for the sony platform that will have more than 256 players at one time on a server in a large scale battle, i will be looking forward to it.
